Hi my name is sue suffer with tinnitus in my left ear .. This has brought all my anxiety back again fear of having a stroke and then dying with noise in my head ....has got on top of me ..my daughter is away in usa ....making things hard for me to keep going everyday...my thoughts are so bad I have been feeling suicidal for the past week ....

I have Health Anxiety as well as I get tinnitus

Now my Health Anxiety mostly tells me everything I have will be the end of me & even though it is so annoying and irritating and gets you down I have never worried that that one will kill me ....not sure I have heard it can in fact I am sure it can't even though I am not a Doctor ...have you been to see your Doctor about it , I know there is not a lot they can always do with this one but it can give you peace of mind talking it through with them

The more anxious we get though I have noticed the louder it becomes , I try & have some kind of noise around me if it be the TV or music as it distracts me a little bit

If you are struggling then also think of talking to your Doctor ...I understand that this can feel so bad sometimes that we feel not been here would resolve what feels like a living nightmare but it certainly won't for others like your Daughter who would be devastated ...remember you can always phone the Samaritans 24/7 telephone [phone] , just hearing a human voice that will listen & not judge can really help when we feel so desperate as well as coming on here & talking to

How long has your Daughter gone for ? You have a big void now to fill with her been away but I always find if we can plan a few things , maybe meet up or talk to friends & family keeping distracted helps me

Please ask for some help if you are struggling as suffering in silence has never helped anyone

I get Tinittitis more to the left than the right ear. I also get what I can only describe as a "static" head which can last for days. I've been to the doctor on numerous times but nothing has been done. All I can say try not to worry as much I've had this for over 7 years so I don't think it will kill you. I think your over thinking it, have another doctors opinion. Steve.
