Hi there started new job in October . still finding my feet - how long do you think it takes to settle in ? Sometimes i regret leaving old place...... had been there 9 years ..... suppose if all else fails could go back to old job .? or is that dangerous ?

I think it can take a while to settle into a new job & October was only about 3 months which is nothing really , maybe I would see how I felt after 6 months ?

You are right though if you are in a position where you could go back to your old job if you don't settle then that is a perfectly reasonable thing to do & unless your old job made you unhappy then I would not say that would be dangerous but if you can give this a little while longer you may be surprised how much better you feel about it in a few months time

I left my job 6 months ago, still not working. I know what you mean about leaving the old job. You left for a reason so you have to keep that in mind. I think it takes at least 6 months to feel comfortable in a new job. That's just me. I am nervous about calling a job back when they see my resume online. How do you deal with the anxiety? I am afraid I will need the bathroom as soon as I get there!
