Hey,

I've been doing CBT for a couple of months now and I'm at the stage where I've had a break from it for four weeks because both myself and my therapist agreed that I'd be able to cope on my own. My next session is tomorrow, it feels strange going back even after just four weeks haha. I've not done an anxiety workshop though but my CBT is for emetophobia so things might be slightly different.

I have found CBT really useful though and I am pleased I did it because it has helped me. If you want to know any more about it then just let me know and I'll do my best to help :-)

I ve been trained on recovery work for people affected by phobia in OCD and general anxiety,a very interesting approach, yes I suggest you to try and you`ll see that some patterns in your thinking influence your behaviour. Best wishes for your workshop

I too am on the CBT waiting list. I have done a couple of workshops which were run by a very talented CBT therapist. He explained different ideas and concepts just briefly to kind of give you an idea of what to expect and a bit of the thinking behind CBT. However, my understanding is although it may depend where you live that they are completely voluntary and that therapy is available whether or not you attend.
