hi icklione. C.B.T is normally a one to one with a counsellor who will try with your help to teach your brain to think in a different way, they talk about the positive side of your brain, and teach you ways to combat the negative thoughts, hope it works for you. love jasper xx

CBT focuses on the way we think and act. It helps us to overcome emotional and behavioural problems.

There is nothing to fear when you go, you will have a brief chat about what you are going to discuss. You will have " homework" to do. This does help:)

Mine isn't one to one mine is three two hour sessions of a 'presentation' style setting with other people

Cbt can be done on a individual level or in group sessions final it really makes no difference in fat groups can be good as you meet people who are in a similar position to yourself x Donver x

Plain and simple to understand ....you'll make the connections in your life through this CBT ....work it and you will gain valuable information..... It may be the start of a long journey It's a good start.. steve

I start cbt on 14th May but mines 1to1 as I haven't been out my house in about a year

It's teaching you how to keep the anxiety at bay. You will learn many things like how to relax, what to do when you start to feel the anxiety coming. How to rate your anxiety from 1 to 10 I went through this 30 years ago and learned a lot. Good luck!

Ohhh thats good. I've had troubles with my anxiety a couple of years back but counselling sorted that out but this time around just talking isnt helping. I'll give it my all and conquer this anxiety!!
