hey everyone well my girlfriend is doing alright, her body still hurts and she's getting the chills and headaches, its been 2 days so far, I looked up her symptoms and malaria came up and I'm freaking out.. I know I shouldn't have done it but I'm restless and i don't know what too do I've gotten 8 hours of sleep the past 2 days maybe a little more. too make matters worse I was with a friend the other day and he is a doctor and he was telling me make sure too be washing your hands a lot and clean cause a lot of people have been getting malaria and hiv and some other thing… I'm real worried and stressing out about my love and idk what too think or do...

Hi Damien,

Sorry to hear your gf is unwell. From your previous post is it likely that this is a severe relation to the ice cream with her lactose intolerance ? I'm not sure what the stance on malaria is in the USA but I was under the impression it's more likely if your gf had visited Africa or some country similar. Don't try to overthink what your friend has said to much, at times like this friendly advice of the wrong sort can be our undoing. I think you are overtired and your mind is running away with thoughts and notions . I really hope she is better soon, maybe that trip to a medic is the best to be sure. Donver x

Hi, hope shes feeling better soon, think it's very unlikely to be malaria if shes not been abroad , has she seen a doctor yet, could reassure you both its nothing serious if she gets medical advice :) xx

Were at doctors right now they said it's a urinary tract infection going into her kidneys it's not good but atleast it wasn't what I thought it was, their giving her a shot and antibiotics they said if we waited longer then she would of been into the emergency thank you guys for the support

I can't give medical advice mate, but I'm sure your girlfriend will get better and whatever is causing her the problem will disappear soon and seeing a doc might be good for peace of mind. I've been in a situation before where I had to take my wife to hospital because she couldn't stop vomiting. It turned out to just be a stomach bug and went away after 48 hours, but at the time it was scary and I remember my anxiety tearing me to bits. To people like you and me, who suffer with anxiety, it's even worse as it can often seem very, very serious when the reality is quite different.

Do me a favour though - once this has all passed and you're basking in the relief, make sure you realise how much of a nice guy you are. Sometimes we only see the destructive side of anxiety, and while worrying the way we do doesn't often help, it does show that we care about certain things.

Thank you so much, we are at the doctors I'm anxiously waiting too see my love and she has too get a shot for her kidneys and she's scared I can't be back there with her I told her too stay strong and I'm so happy it's nothing super serious , I realized how much she means too me I always get like this when she's sick she also has PCUOS so I worry about her very much.

Hi Damien,

Glad you've been to the docs. Kidney infections, etc are scary. They have lots of nasty symptoms and you tend to get v ill v quick which is v frightening for the people looking after you. You've done ever so well looking after her and hopefully the antibiotics will kick in soon and she'll start to feel a lot better.

Try to get some rest.

Love
