Hi

I have had the same thing on and off for several years, then I read if you drink a glass of fruit juice each hour it helps it has something to do with low blood sugars. In my case it worked and I have not had it for ages even when my GAD is at its worse.

Hope it works for you

Hi Rosepettles

Welcome to the site, you don't say if you have been to see your doctor that is the first thing you have to do, quite a few people on here have the same problem as you so I am sure you will get some good advice.

Take care Kenny

Hi its a common feature of anxiety guess its just part of the normal flight, fight or freeze response kicking in went it you feel it shouldn't. No solutions others than to try to relax with the sensation as much as possible accept it and try not to fathom out why ( if U have had a doc rule out any other cause), the more U focus on it the more U will notice it which will make it worse - hard not to I know. Try not to let sensation limit what U do and focus out not in. Take care Mike

Hiya sweetie, seems to be a symptom of anxiety / M.E. I'd recommend seeing your doctor maybe they can help. I found that it does pass and I only got dizzy spells for a short period of time. Sleep and rest can help, yeah it's a pain when you want to be doing things but I found if I listen to what my body wants it tends to give me more in the long run. Sending you healing energies

Hi Rosepettles

Dizziness and feeling lightheaded is a common symptom for people suffering from anxiety. In the absence of any diagnosed medical condition, can you try some controlled breathing? Without realizing, sometimes anxious people can breath "shallow" and rapid breaths and this can cause feelings of dizziness. Try sitting in a comfortable position, breath in deeply whilst slowly counting to 5, hold your breath whilst slowly counting to 5, and breath out whilst slowly counting to 5. Relax your body and repeat this 10 times ..... If you can at the same time imaging yourself in a situation where you were happy and felt safe then this will improve the experience. Also if you can, have a look at 'controlled breathing and 'progressive muscle relaxation' (PMR) on the website. The above exercise can be used as often as you need to.

Good luck and warm wishes

Hello, I'm a newbe so I hope you don't mind me answering you.

Anxiety makes me dizzy sometimes and I think a lot of people get that symptom. However, can you talk to your doctor about it, as it can be a symptom of lots of things and you will be able to get a proper opinion, even something to help, depending on the cause. I always put everything down to being 'nervous' and have missed early symptoms of things!!! Hope you can get some rest from it. Best wishes.
