Have had a couple of really stressful weeks but things are starting to look up again. As for my anxiety I just feel this numbness in my body which really scares me. Does anyone else ever get this? If I'm being honest I really only get the feeling when I'm thinking about it and therefore think it might be related to anxiety?! The other thing is I'm having problems with my periods - Last month it came about a week early and now I'm a week late. Does anyone ever experience this? There is no chance I'm pregnant and I'm afraid it's related to something more serious.
Thanks in advance for your advice and help,
Rachael

Hi Rachael
I am pleased after a couple of stressful weeks things are now improving for you
The numbness you are feeling , it could be related to your body having to deal with all the stress & now it is needing a rest !
That's what I find when I have been through a stressful time , I see it as a safety mechanism while it is letting me re charge my batteries as all the adrenaline we used when we are stressed can leave us feeling numb after
Your other problem , try not to worry , I personally think it is quite common to be a week out either way , I am sure if you speak to a lot of women they will say the same , sounds quite normal to me !
See how it goes , if it will give you peace of mind you could always have a word with your GP or nurse at the surgery
I know what you mean about overthinking the anxiety. I have those moments too, where you are fine and then suddenly over think those 'butterflies' in the stomach.
I agree with whywhy about the numbness, it probably your bodies way of trying to recover. I feel like that sometimes, tired and just kind of bleh. I try to keep busy to make myself feel better - go on a walk or exercise, talk to a family member or friend.
As far as the period goes, think it is natural to be a week early/late as long as you are getting them every month regularly you should be fine. But keep an eye on the flow not being how it normally is for you. When your flow is not normal, that's probably when you want to talk to your doc.
Ur period can be late or early thou stress but if ur worried then I wud c ur go. As for the numbness u feel I agree with whywhy. I've had a stressfull wkend and last night and today, still now I feel anxious and weired. I've felt it a lot before so I know it's my anxiety. My battery's r recharging. Plus I think I've ate to much and feel sick. I know wen I feel sick I feel worser with my anxiety. Hope ur feeling better soon xx
