I've become obsessed...I'm walking about my house looking for things to sell.

I'm a bit of a novice though. Anyone on here sell and know a bit about it?

I just want to make sure I'm doing it right.

Well don't be walking round looking for things to sell unless you have something you dont want

My daughter does a lot of this selling palaver & when I have asked her sounds complicated to me but saying that most things always do

You have to set up an account & then you would have to take pictures & uploaded them on there of what you are selling , then you would have to make sure you could post them on , so that means keep going to the post office & then you might get some funny ones who are not happy & complain & then you would have to sort that out !

Or do you have like a local add mag or something similar that's free

All you do with that is phone them tell them the description they add it in the magazine , people will phone , call round if they want it they buy it & its all sorted

I've got an account already and have an old phone and computer console up for sale. So hopefully I make a little bit of money out of it.

I always forget to make my posts private and make them off topic. I'm glad you are here to keep me right haha

1: always send the items signed for, this will protect you and your money.

2: try and only let people buy your items who have a history of using eBay, you can state that in the information section when placing your ad.

3: try and not offer postage abroad as it's more difficult to trace items.

I have used "gumtree",it's local and I found it easy,they picked item up and paid cash,just make sure someone is with you .
