Hi I've just been recently been prescribed paroxatine and I'm scared to take it. Was just wonder to take or not to take I'm just worryed.

Is it the side effects why you are scared to take them ?

I know I have a meds fear & the side effects can always be a huge worry to me & prevent me taking things

I tell myself I will try them a day at a time & if I don't want to I don't have to take them the next day , it makes me feel I am in control then & helps take some of the fear away

As your GP has prescribed them & you are feeling scared about taking them I would go back & tell them how you feel & be honest , there could be an alternative they could prescribe

Go back & tell them how you feel when they open in a couple of days

Hi, everyone gets different side effects from the same tablet or some don't get any at all. With me I got side effects which weren't too bad I managed to carry on and convinced myself that they were side effects and would wear off and they did. If you are worried speak to your GP again or speak to your pharmacist.

Like you probably, whichever medication I take I get a side effect...I guess maybe we are sensitive to meds...I feel exactly the same fear that you do.......you are not alone...there is nothing weird about it...try to relax and know that all will be well.....you don't have to do anything you don't want to.

Paxil use to be a no joke miracle anxiety pill for me. In the past it was soo good I would quit taking it and a couple years later go back on due to increased panic. This last time I tried it and had bad side effects. But the first few times it worked great. Apparently ssris dont agree with me anymore.
