Hi again, not from personal experience but my mate took a lot of meds for his ptsd and I am informed Trazadone helps sleep and is an antidepressant.

You could try Trazadone I used to take this and I didn't put on weight but I was not on it for long before my doctor changed medication again.

Hi, I have been on quite a lot of meds with increased side effects, including mirtazapine. I'm currently 5 weeks into trazodone with a gradual increase from 50 -200 mg and helps with sleep as its quite sedative...but just to let you know it has less anti-depressant effects. Another drug is queitiapine but more effective in people experiencing psychotic symptoms...trazodone is a good choice...may be worth a try as has less side effects compared to mirtazapine...but everyone responds differently.Good luck
