Hi, I'm not self employed at the mo, but I'm thinking about going self employed so I can be my own boss!

Hi Stuart, no help here either I'm afraid, I don't work, get an Ill-Health pension from my former employers. Wish I could think of something to do at home :(

Is there anything you're particularly anxious about when returning to work or just the pressure of work in general?

If dealing with the parents on fees day is making you stressed, then getting someone else to do that for you sounds like a great idea. :D Do you have someone in mind?

Hi Bigguy,

It's ALWAYS good to talk over problems with someone else, whether they are YOUR problems or that other persons problems. You can always get a better perspective on things when you can "bounce ideas and things off" someone else. I am self employed and have been since 1999, when I was made redundant after 26 years with the same company. It is the best way to be as there is no-one dishing out the orders (apart from the missus!!).

I still struggle to manage my anxieties at times, but being your own boss removes a lot of lifes pressures.

Go for it, and all the very best of luck in any new ventures.

Hiya, wish you all the very best in the future ,cannot help in self employed but did work for a family member and believe me when people came in and said they were friend of his they got no more attention or discount than the next customer.Remember you cannot have friends in buisness it is your lively hood.(((Hugs)))
