Can anyone provide some advice??

I've dealt with severe anxiety and depression for 30+ years. I had it under control up until 3 weeks ago. Out of nowhere, my anxious stomach came roaring back and is worse than ever. It's 24/7. My Dr just put me on Vilazodone

Any advice/help??

What happened in those last 3 weeks that might have prompted the panic

once again? Talking out the fear is the first step and then using the methods

and tools you have to counter attack the feelings before they get out of control

each time. I use Meditation and Breathing exercises that keep up and down fears

under control. Coming on this safe and caring site was also a wise choice made by

you. Let us help you start to go forward once more. :) xx

Thanks for the feedback Agora. To answer your question, nothing happened 3 weeks ago, just my annoying head that puts me in these paralyzing situations. I don't remember it being constant like this

Goinboating, unfortunately it doesn't have to be a situational event that prompts

our thoughts to spiral out of control. Once thoughts take over our imagination, it

can be just as bad as someone accosting you out of no where. The mind is a

powerful tool. Sometimes it lies but it can be retrained to think and accept more

positively with practice. :) xx

My anxiety has been spiking lately as well impacting my stomach to the point when I wake up in the morning I can barely brush my teeth, so I get it. However, I am going through a medication dosage issue and have a late of stressful things going on, so I keep telling myself there is a light and know where it is coming from. Out of nowhere makes it harder.

Has anything changed for you in the last 3 weeks? If not I might try going to a doctor and having them do a blood test to see if anything is off physically that could be causing it. I say that as someone with hypothyroidism that can really impact my anxiety when it is off. I also recently learned gallbladder issues can cause severe anxiety as well. So maybe even think about if you have changed anything in your diet recently too.

Thanks for the feedback , I'll check with my general Dr

hey there,

It pains me to read that you’re having to deal with your anxious stomach. I know how unbearable that can feel. I deal with it often and some of those times the triggers can be small things but my mind fixates on those “small” things and the feeling in my stomach makes those things feel huge. When nothing seems to help, talking to someone who can empathize with me seems to help the most. You can always message me if you need someone to talk to.
