Has anyone checked into a treatment center for depression and anxiety? If you're taking your meds and doing what you're supposed to, what do they do?
I'm skeptical but open to hearing from anyone's experience.

I have been hospitalized several times, the last time was a few years ago. Was having suicidal thoughts and felt it was a safe place to be. There were therapy groups and it was helpful being among people who really understood what you're going through. You meet with the doctor usually daily and the social worker a few times.(in my experiences). You can't have your phone on you while there nor anything with a drawstring. They will usually hold those items along with your toiletries which you will have to request when needed. Overall not a bad experience at all.
Same good experiences n feelings for me. Ends up I was severely under medicated so my end result was a huge reduction in anxiety

Thank you. It helps to know what to expect. Although it still sounds scary.I think trying my new meds and therapy are still the best thing for me right now.
I guess it's got to really depend on the hospital.
