What do you go when your anxiety and depression is keeping you from seeking help? The idea of talking to a therapist is to scary for me. I’d just cry the whole time. My fuse is getting shorter by the far and I’m bursting with anger over the littlest things. Been on antidepressants multiple times over the last 10 years and don’t want to do them again. I’m trying lots of natural supplements but not noticing anything helping yet. Although it’s only been a couple months. Feeling hopeless

Thanks for your response I’m new to this group. Was thinking this group was a in the moment chat group. Are responses more delayed

It depends. Not everyone is in the same time zone as this group has members from various parts of the world. Responses can be little late sometimes but it's rare.

Therapists never helped me. I always felt I was being looked down upon, treated like I was crazy when I was just really, really sad. I found more help on HealthUnlocked than I ever did with a therapist. Though I do take medications for depression, anxiety, and many other non-psychological ailments like fibromyalgia, I feel so much better now.

I also kicked out my husband 7 years ago and the divorce was finalized earlier this month. I actually slowed down the divorce so he would have to wait longer to be with his latest fling. I think he was so immature that I felt I was trying to be his mother. Glad he is with someone else who can deal with his problems and his infidelity. Once a cheater, always a cheater.

ZoeyRose, ask anything you wish. We'll be here to listen even though we might be thousands of miles away. Prayers, hugs, love and light.

I tried the natural route but it did little for me and got back on the meds and glad I did. There is absolutely nothing wrong with taking meds if they work for you and I found one that did.

I suggest you keep checking in here until you are ready to work with a therapist. The reality of working with a therapist is that it's common to have anxiety before and even during working with them initially until you feel safe and comfortable with them. Healing your emotional self is not easy and takes courage but it definitely gets easier and is so worth it.
