Dealing with fluctuating anxiety

I have dealt with anxiety and depression for most of my life. I have learned coping skills like grounding and meditation and many other ways of making the best of a bad day. But recently even if I’ve calmed down pretty well and even feel relaxed during the day, I have been waking up to close to terror during the night. Also in the morning. This has been going on for 3 or 4 nights now. Has anyone experienced this? What do you do? I am on very low doses of Prozac (can’t tolerate more than 10 mg every other day) and Klonopin generic type that I don’t like to take and wish I didn’t have to, .5 mg. Often I take only 1/2. I’ve gone months without it. I am seeing a therapist again and have a meds dr. This clinic is new to me and so far I only see them through zoom.

Hi Hope4me1 xThe "coping skills" never get old. But sometimes our medications no longer work

for us or need to be adjusted. Cutting your dose in half with Klonopin may not be

enough to fully work.

The good thing is that you have a therapist and a meds doctor (all important)

Yes, Agora1, you are correct to say that reducing my meds is not a good idea when I need them. I am keeping a dose on the night table in case I need during the night. Today I woke with no anxiety. I didn’t have to take them. I am grateful for a good nights sleep. Thank you for responding 💕
