Had a pain in my chest for a few days followed by panic attacks the entire time.

Friday night really starting panic I'm having a heart attack and went to the emerg.. Was there for 8 hours.. But was worth it.. They did test ran some blood and I was told it wasn't heart attack.. What a relieve .. And panic attacks are also gone.. FOR NOW.. I'm sure they will come back.. But I have been peaceful for a couple days now..

Anyone ever do the same????

I am glad to hear it isn't your heart! I think treating the panic attacks is more manageable. They are unnerving, but not life-threatening. Good luck!

Thanks .. They are not life threatening .. But they are equally scary and mentally exhausting!!!

Hello I have had that got diagnosed with Costochondritis was very scared so that made me have panic attacks that lasted 10 minutes

I had that years ago. It does feel like a heart attack. Even the doctor in the ER said he sees a lot of this. It is more common than people think. Every time I would exert myself I'd get a stabbing pain in my chest. Took my breath away. Scared the heeby jeebies out of me. It went on for what seemed forever & then just stopped. I have not had an "attack" in over 30 yrs.

I know it's scary shit... I don't know what worse.. The chest pains thinking I'm having a heart attack or the panic attacks... WOW
