I am not sure what the point in life is. We all spend time trying to grasp at little things to give us a reason to keep on going or to feel like there is purpose. I am almost 40 and wonder how many more days I am going to have to fight the depression and anxiety or suffer though it at least. This world makes no sense to me and I wonder why I can't trade places with someone who is dying and wants to live.

Hi None999, watch what you wish for, it might not be the trade you really wanted.
You are barely 40 and ready to give up on life. What would be a better idea is to not fight depression and anxiety and find ways you can overcome it.
In order words, better to put your energies into a positive motivation than giving up and tossing your life to the wind. I'm glad you are here on this forum. You may just learn from other's experiences with mental health in how it is possible to live and not just exist. xx

I know the Feeling. Maybe tomorrow something will come you way. When I was your age, I declared myself "Mr. Fixit" and made a habit of looking for things to do. When I was 25, I "discovered finishing and re-finishing furniture. Sometimes I find a piece along side the curb & I snatch it.👍
That is a question many people ask. Why do we just spurt into existence, enjoy life or go through suffering, and then just disappear, much like a blade of grass. This led me to explore Christianity which I thought was nothing but a bunch of superstitions but has answered almost all of my questions to satisfaction and gave my life meaning. I am almost 60 but the past decade of living and understanding it has made me content. If you have time, try looking into Christian forums and maybe you can get some answers that will make life better for you as well.
