Buprenorphine for pain (Temgesic) 400mcg

Hi again just to add to my last post, has anybody been prescribed these these for pain and if so how did you get on with them?. GP just prescribed them and they are an opiate based painkiller, so very scared to take them, any feedback would be great. Thankyou for reading

I took them years ago was prescribed as a detox from opiates ...found them ok

i was coming off opiates at the time and they really helped with the withdrawals...they were sublingual....dissolved under the tongue ....can’t remember having any unpleasant side effects from them...why are you being prescribed them ?

Thank you, I will give them a go, just a bit worried about taking them, but if the pain goes it’s worth it I suppose. Thanks again for your reply, it very much appreciated

Chronic pain syndrome, I’ve been on painkillers for a long time, but still in pain, I also have IBS and divaticulitus disease, Im just falling apart I think. Just want some relief 👍😳🤦‍♀️

Sounds like my rap sheet 😀...don’t you just love colonoscopies.....I’ve been to the pain clinic 3 times too ...last time I saw a pain specialist ....i said are you in pain he said no 😂

Hi Cimmy I've just started on 35mg patches to change once ever 4 days . I was told by my surgeon that I needed to be on them as my compression in my neck and shoulder is quite intense. So taking these for the chronic pain before surgery. Hes decided I can not have the surgery on my back as I will be in a wheelchair for quite sometime after my neck surgery.

I will let you know how I get on.
