I hate talking about myself. When I talk about myself and how I feel to people in person I feel highly uncomfortable. My doctor recommended I start therapy, but I have been extremely hesitant to book an appointment. I started taking medication but It has not made any difference yet and I am struggling to get through the day. Can anyone tell me there experience with therapy whether it was helpful or not or how to get past this feeling of discomfort and make the first step and make an appointment

My first appt is today I reached a point where I was losing more then I was gaining by not seeking help. Will let u know how it goes

Many of us have a lot of miles on this journey. I have a hard time in therapy....like if they were so educated on the matter they would be sitting where you are!!
The ones who suffer understand.
