I was on esctalapram for 3 and half weeks felt good only had mild headaches my doctor said I can change to citalapram do I did and that gave me from day one a headache and eyes swollen so had to come off it As called the 111 services and that’s what they advices me to do and go back to esctalapram then Monday spoke to the the doctor And they said the 111 service should never have asked me to come off it because it could be a setting in effect so I i was told to re start it and it happens again but worse so I then told the doctor and they said I needed to come off it and go back to what I new so I did and the day I took the esctalapram my head felt like it was on fire burning I spoke to the 111 and then the doctor and they both said I need to ride it through and as it will get better but the headaches are horrible with this and it wasn’t this bad when I was first ok it what is everyone’s thoughts as I can’t cope any longer please help feel so week and useless I can’t manage my other half is suffering seeing me like this I take this for Anxiety and it’s solved the anxiety but not fixed the headaches or the stinging headache it’s a nightmare I feel like it’s made me also very drowsy where as before it never did I felt fine and had insomnia when I first started it and now I can’t get enough sleep what’s going on I need some advice and support to make me see light at the end of the road I am going mad help and advice would mean a lot to me thanks xxx

I don't even know what to say as to how doctors are responding to their patients anymore! First of all, patients should not be taken off any medication cold turkey and weaned until it's doable to stop the med. Are you okay now? What are they doing for you now?

I have been left on esctalapram and told to see how I am in a weeks time and just put up with it they said I a need to give it more settling time but I have given it loads of time it’s rediculas I feel like it’s never ending I just want there to be a correct med I was on sertraline for a while and that worked but I came off it as the sunlight was effecting my eyes making my eyes hate the light but I was ok on it no head pain they keep saying I can go back on that one if I wish but the gp keeps saying they will all have the same effect on me so there is no point to change
