Hi,Im in the Uk. and need feedback on how your coping after several months of lockdown.Im trying to take one day at a time ,but find that although my anxiety is lower ,stress is still there and I need to get motivated ;havent been too bad considering I am up in years and no real friends-----just wish Ihad so that I could plan long needed holiday........my life dwindling,by that I mean that theres no real purpose ,I also need to get a therapist /counselling,which is going to be difficult as I have issues with expressing myself and can get upset over little things and have bottled things up ,mainly because of no one being there and joining things was never gonna be easy for me---as I also have hangups for want of a better word with groups/mixing---it seems too great.I love animals but wont allow myself another cat...as I need to travel and my confidence is slowly fading as months go on......hoping to hear from you/someone!

Anyone feel overwhelmed by the existing Lockdown Uk/U.S.A.
Hi. I'm sorry to hear you're having a hard time. I hope you figure it out. I think I am having a hard time making decisions but I'm doing it I guess. I love cats too!
Hi Lori
Sorry to hear how you are feeling.
I am doing OK during lockdown as I love walking in the countryside and am doing such a lot of it as apart from gardening it is the only option at present. It has been such a beautiful spring and going out to see nature, even just flowers opening in gardens, has been lovely.
However I do understand how you feel being alone. I have found that lockdown has made me more independent and I can enjoy doing more things alone since lockdown and really enjoy them.
I love travel too and am feeling that since lockdown, once we are able to travel again I will be happy to do it on my own now.
I feel that by walking, particularly fast walking, I am building up my fitness. I am nearly 65 so need to stay active. I never feel I have wasted my time by walking and get chores over in the morning so I can set off by car late morning and take a picnic to have in the car after my walk for one or two hours. I usually drive to very nearby local places but have driven up to an hour to start my walk somewhere really interesting.
I have an app on my phone to help, I aim to get over 150 heart points a week. Not too difficult with fast walking. I sometimes also achieve 10,000 steps in a day. Both of these are rec by the WHO as a way to keep fit.
I am a keen photographer and love nature so I also take my camera, though often just do snaps from the phone. It is nice to look back on them afterwards.
Really hope you can find your motivation again and start to do something you really like doing.
Feel free to message me anytime.
Best wishes.
Kim
Hi Kkimm,Very glad to hear your motivated by exercise and photography......IM inclined to dwell and watch certain tv progs that are informative (the usual ones).I Too fancy doing some wildlife ,and did have a gull that visited me regularly for about 10 days, then it stopped-would have liked to have taken a photo.I noticed there's another similar bird that perches itself on the window ledge and waits patiently til it gets something.thats alongside the canal that's nearby;always very busy when the odd sunny day arrives. Its not too bad today may take a short stroll, lol getting lazier,in fact,my walking days seem to have decreased too, stress is awful, though some walking helps.......In some ways IM glad my gull, decided to disappear,as on its last day it came back around 5 times and it left some(too much of a good thing ?)I have also started counselling ,over the phone, its costly, but I need something and family are not interested (talkers)and I don't like going on and on as 1 sister does for an hour and doesn't listen to me! hoping your still fighting fit and the Lockdown is just beginning to ease in Uk.......keep in touch .
Hi, how are you now? I hope you're not as anxious.
