Increase in Anxiety

The last couple days have been filled with intrusive thoughts and flashbacks to bad memories. For the last few months I have felt okay, but just yesterday, things started getting worse. Could this be from social isolation and quarantine? Too much time to ruminate maybe?

It could well be. I'm having a lot of thoughts, urges and feelings over this quarantine and finding it very hard, I think we all are. I found something useful today. I wrote two lists, things that need to be done and things I enjoy. I'm going to pick one from each list each day and hopefully when the list is done i will feel really good. Just a suggestion.

I have repetitive thoughts and paranoia about separation from those I love because of this damn virus situation. The media and social media is no help. It's all death and frustration with lack of supplies. I have had to work on keeping myself busy helping others and not concentrating on the virus situation other than keeping myself and my family as safe as possible. I am an essential health care worker and that keeps me busy. It's rewarding but frightening at the same time. Take care of yourself mentally and take mental health time and concentrate on yourself. Skyblue1202 gave great advice. I am sitting here typing away and relaxing here online. I have grand kids running around and plenty on my to do list but I'm managing my anxiety as best I can. I express my paranoid feelings to my husband and daughter and they listen and support me. Thankfully they both have depression/anxeity and can relate. Stay safe and take care. We will get through this. I promise.
