Anyone else experience this?

So I just got off lexapro a week ago and I had hardly any withdrawal effects up until now. I have been so dizzy the past few days and like get weird random tingling in random parts of my body. My chest also randomly pounds and not in an anxious way (trust me, I know what that feels like).

Classic sign of withdrawal symptoms. Did you taper off slowly? I’m hoping so.

Yes, I did. I went from 10mg, to 5mg for two weeks and then discontinued it.

That’s a very fast taper. Withdrawal/SSRI discontinuation syndrome is a thing. Ideally your doctor should taper you down very slowly. If your still having a lot of discomfort, having rebound of the issues you were being treated for, I’d get back to the doctor.

Everything you describe has happened to me when I switched from Lexapro to Zoloft. Even by tapering off under doctor’s supervision, I experienced such symptoms weeks later... so don’t panic. Just remember that they are normal withdrawal symptoms. Give yourself some time to ride the wave.
