Fluoxetine help

Hi

I’ve been on this medication now for about 4/5 weeks and I had the usual side effects in the first 2 weeks and my 3 week check up was fine.

But after week 3 I’ve started to get severe headaches and had to take cocodamol for the pain. This has dulled now into week 4 but now I have this pressure in my face. It feels like my head and face/jaw muscles are getting tighter. I’m going to keep an eye on it for another 2 weeks and maybe get into my doctor. I just wanted to know if this is just another side effect or something more serious? Thanks.

Hi Courtlouisee,

I've spent a total of about 22 years on Prozac because it works so well for me. I didn't have your extreme symptoms, but I would be suspicious of it as a possible side effect. Try to wait it out but discontinue the Prozac if you get too miserable. Call your doctor with any questions...that's what s/he is for. Best wishes to you...
