Today, I will fly back across the country for work. I’ll be home in 18 days for a 16-day vacation! However, when it’s over, I’ll be back at work for 138 straight days.
How can I handle being away from home? How do people cope with anxiety in situations like this? Those 138 days will be the longest/worst stretch I’ve gone through with anxiety without coming home.

While you are away from home, can you find activities outside of your work? That might help you get to know some people in the other place, and then you might feel better.
That does seem like a very long time away. Where will you be staying during that time?
It sounds like you probably need to try and make where you are staying as ‘homely’ as possible during that time as it will become a little like a second home. Are there some things you could take with you to be more like home?
Is this something you do often? If you find it difficult, perhaps there is a way you can ask to not have to spend such long stretches from home.
