Fear is the driving force behind all our problems. Panic attacks, health anxiety, agoraphobia, social anxiety, depression about having anxiety and the feeling we are about to die - it's the fear hormone we release every time an anxious thought comes to mind that keeps our nerves in hyper sensitive mode.
Unfortunately, jangled nerves make every minor concern or insignificant worry seem ten times worst. Whilst real problems, normally easily overcome, become impossible nightmares.
Anxiety and depression cause more fear hormone to be released generating more bad feelings. In turn these cause further fear and anxiety: whatever started your illness the vicious circle now set in motion perpetuates the process ad infinitum.
If only we could banish fear from our thinking we could stop the terror dead in its tracks. No fear means no more exaggerated thoughts of death, disaster and major health issues.
Let this be the year we learned to give fear the order of the boot. It can be done and respite and recovery soon follow. This forum is a treasure house of information and experience. You will find the answers here.
I hope this is the year you regain your quiet mind and claim back your life. Towards that goal let us go forward as one.
