Wellbutrin & Lexapro

Hello! I’m excited to be a part of this group, I’m hoping to find support and to give some in return. So just today my doctor added Wellbutrin to my daily meds. I have been taking Lexapro for almost a year now and obviously there’s still some tough times, but overall it’s been a lot better. But recently I’ve been feeling a bit more down than usual and she suggested adding Wellbutrin to the mix. I’m just curious if anyone is on the same medications and how it’s worked for you? Any insight is much appreciated!

Hi Rose, Welcome. Glad your meds are working for you. It is fairly common that dosage gets upped in time or other meds added. I could not stand the SSRI/SNRI side effects and carry stronger benzo's for emergency immediate use for anxiety/panic. Good luck.

I was in the exact same situation and the Wellbutrin did help a bit. I'm certainly not "cured" but it did take the edge off. It's definitely worth trying!

I have been on Lexapro since May and my doctor added Wellbutrin to the mix a month ago. I actually have just really started seeing a difference this week. Lexapro was making me too sleepy so the Wellbutrin helps with that, but also it has been helping me with impulse control.
