New prescription

My doctor just took me off cymbalta and put me on Vraylar. Has anyone heard of this? I’m so scared to try new medicine because I have been on just about everything out there and have gotten severe side effects.

I just got prescribed Vraylar too. I’ll take it for the first time in the morning. I hadn’t heard of it before either. My doctor said at higher doses it’s used for bipolar and schizophrenia but at a low dose it can be a booster to your existing antidepressant.

He did warn me about side effects, there’s something you can get that includes a really high fever but you would get that in just a day or two. And then you can also get like a restless muscle syndrome where you kind of feel jittery but he said it will stop when you stop taking it and you can stop it cold turkey. Kind of scary but he said he’s never seen it in any of his patients.

I hope it works! I’ve been having a hard month. Let me know how it goes for you!

Please go to the facebook page Cymbalta hurts worse. It is very dangerous to do bridging to another drug after going cold turkey.
