Hello friends! So I have been dealing with anxiety and depression for a little while (3ish years since being diagnosed) and have struggled finding a good medicine. Started with prozac and zoloft- neither seemed to work well and zoloft made me gain weight. Switched to cymbalta in April and since then it seems like my anxiety has only gotten worse to the point where I don't feel like there's any identifiable triggers and I'm just constantly anxious, irritable, and restless. I tried the swab to test which medicines are a good/bad match which told me which ones were bad so that's when I tried the cymbalta. I might be wrong, but my understanding now is that the swab test just tells you what might have negative side effects (like gaining weight) but not which meds will work well in terms of treatment. So I was wondering if anyone out there is in a similar boat with struggling to find medicines or if anyone has advice. I'm getting pretty desperate so please help! Thank you!!!

Hello eharvey8!
I was switched to Cymbalta in January. It works well for me except that it makes me sweat uncontrollably and feel sooo hot...very uncomfortable and embarrassing! Cymbalta seems to lift me, but not to an anxiety point like it does you. I’m putting up with the sweating because it elevates my mood which is my priority in life...lol!! I wish you luck in your search for a good medication! 💐😊

Glad its working for you but I'm sorry about the heat and sweating- I had that on another medicine and i found this thing called a cooling pad on amazon that basically absorbs your body heat so its nice when you're sleeping or sitting in an office chair or something. Also medical grade deodorant is pretty effective too! Hang in there! And thanks for your response!
