Just an update regarding my experience using CBD gel for my knee pains. It did absolutely nothing to relieve the pain which I thought was arthritis but it appears it’s just joint pains possibly being caused by Apixaban which I won’t be stopping any time soon. Although you are not supposed to take anti inflammatory when on blood thinners my GP says it’s ok to use a little Volterol topically to help the pain. This has certainly been the case with me, pain much easier. Thank you for all your replies to my previous post.

Thank you for letting us know that CBD gel did nothing to relieve your knee pain. I'm thinking of writing a post re joint pain and saying what has helped me.

That was my experience with CBD oil and gel which I used under the guidance of a pharmacist who was studying it. We started with a low "dose" and gradually went up to 60% but it did absolutely nothing for my chronic back pain (which I had been getting log before AF). I kept taking paracetamol and now and again used voltarol gel when it was really bad. I had a knee replacement in 2019 and once I recovered from that found that my back pain was less severe - obviously some of the pain was caused through postural problems caused by my bad knee. Now I take fewer paracetamol and hardly ever find the need to use voltarol gel. I also find that exercise helps as sitting or standing still for any length of time makes things far worse - such as today's 3 hour car journey!
