Hello
My pacemaker rate is due to be lowered this week and now I have got Covid
I am shocked as I have not had it before
Feeling very unwell but more can concerned about not been able to get the pacemaker lowered
I think it has to be lowered in certain time mine was 6 weeks
Any ideas ? Will it make any difference

Hello Bob
Yes of course
I just was asking about the time factor of having the pacemaker rate lowered
Has it got to be done in a time frame 🖼

Not that I am aware of . Mine was set when fitted and never touched this last year.

Mine was set at 80-120 when fitted. 60-120 2 months later after AV node and 50-120 after that.
Please don’t worry. I even had a lead switched off and a complete re-program after 4 months.
If you are really worried ring your pacemaker clinic, they are only too happy to set your mind at rest.

I guess it will depend on your state of health. Our two neighbours had covid last year and seriously struggled through it for a good month, yet others we know have hardly been aware they have it.
