so after 2 ablations which haven’t worked and now in permanent Af I have had a letter through from my EP at St Barts stating the following
At my last procedure they discovered a short circuit running around the mitral valve .
they want to perform a technique where they block a very small vein at the back of the heart which destroys a tiny bit of tissue that supports that circuit and this is called an ethanol injection .
My question is
Has anyone had or heard of this technique and can you give any advice or guidance please .

Conclusion: A novel ablation strategy that systematically targets anatomical atrial structures (VOM ethanol infusion, PVI, and prespecified linear lesions) is feasible, safe, and associated with a high rate of freedom from arrhythmia recurrence at 12 months in patients with persistent AF.
A lady named "Cuore " had three ablations in Bordeaux France the second of which was Vein of Marshall ablation. She posted two years ago. Maybe she is still on Health Unlocked?
whatever happened to Cuore? Does anyone know ? ? So far as I can see it’s 2 years since she posted here. I PM’d her a month or two ago and got no response.
