AF soon after Cryoblation ; will this stop procedure from being as affective ??

Hi All

Had my Cryoblation 4 weeks ago

I now have Covid and this has certainly bought on a longer bout of AF

Now been in AF for 48 hours

My heart rate is not going above 100bpm the majority of time it’s between !80 and 94 bpm.

It does drop to 60 bpm but only for a minute or 2 max .

My big fear is that being in AF for this period of time is going to stop the blanking period from being as affective as it might have been .

Surely if scar tissue is trying to form and I still have these signals crashing through it restricts the healing ?

That’s my logic and hoping you all reply and say it makes no difference to the end result of the Cryoblation .once the blanking period has stopped .

Thank god I don’t suffer severe symptoms when in AF so I’m not concerned about that and I’m preying when the Covid passes I will drop back into Sinus rhythm .

Thanks in advance for any responses

Matt

You're still very much in the early stages of recovery from it. I'd say the recent episode is due to the ablation, not because it has failed
