Cbd patches and af
The only thing that got rid of my sciatica(3 year duration and very painful) was hydrotherapy.
Hi Trixie.
I'll kick this one off by saying I've tried CBD. The one I have tried doesn't contain THC which is what get's you 'high'. I certainly wouldn't recommend smoking cannibis with afib - it will increase your HR (even though you may feel more relaxed) and is not a good idea.
I think many say it help's with pain relief for various conditions. Even the CBD containing this substance has a very low THC level and is unlikely to do much harm.
However there are a few things to note IMO. I vaped it which gives an instant response. I think it's best to use a slower acting version to allow's your body time to adjust. The oil can be ok taken with food - the high street pharmacists charge far to much though I think. Be careful buying online (much cheaper) but you never know what's coming though your letter box.
Do your own research and work out the best dose for you. Maybe it will work / maybe not. Make sure you buy from a reputable source though.

Hi trixie,
I haven't used it yet ...... BUT ..... I am seriously considering it to help deal with osteoarthritic pain in my left shoulder to help me sleep at night. I haven't yet made up my mind mainly due to the fact there maybe an interaction with Warfarin that is part and parcel of my party bag of drugs that I am scoffing to control my AF and blood pressure.

Foam roller from Amazon works for me.
Hi thereYes I have successfully used CBD oil, just a couple of drops under the tongue, to relieve pain in my SI joint. I bought it at a local health food shop. There are many different strengths, so maybe a chat with the vendor will help you decide which one to buy.
It doesn’t contain THC so you aren’t going to walk out of the shop with flowers in your hair, smiling peace at the world. What it did do for me was help me relax so that the muscle spasm associated with moderate to severe pain eases, thus letting my body move normally and start to heal.
It is expensive. I paid €50 for a tiny dropper bottle but I still have half left and my pain is long gone.
Sciatica can be improved with a series of back exercises often called McKenzie exercises after the physiotherapist who wrote a book called " Treat your own Back. " When relaxing it is important not to sit in regular armchairs and on sofas as it is not possible to maintain the back in a healthy position. A kneeling seat is much better or lying on your front propped up on elbows. I have used this method in the past when I have had sciatica -with success. I have tried CBD for pain but it did not do much for me.
Everyone is different, and yes CBD works for me. My hands were getting stiff and painful, and as previously posted, both of my rotator cuffs decided I shouldn't use them anymore. My GP prescribed CBD, and it worked. It took time, but years of pain slowly dissolved. It's not an overnight thing, so patience is required.
