3 months post Ablation....

and heart still behaving, although for most of last week I was getting numerous Kardia readings of either”unclassified” or “possible AF”. I wasn’t getting any symptoms apart from some ectopics but the number of rogue readings were enough to get me worried! I emailed some readings to the arrhythmia nurse, she looked at them and also got my EP to look at them, hurray there was no AF showing on them it was just some ectopy! My 3 month follow up is obviously delayed, but in current situation isn’t unexpected, I can however contact arrhythmia nurse at any time if I have any concerns. Still doing my 5k walk every day, but have backed off on the pace as was getting too tired. But all in all feeling good and everything going ok. Stay safe everyone.

All sounding good.

My kardia would often throw an "unclassified" or "possible AF" and like you I panicked but I sent my readings off to alivecore at a fiver a time only to be told that everything was fine. I did learn to read my results with more accuracy and eventually just put the kardia in a drawer and just got on with living

I am limiting myself to twice a day for next couple of weeks, then it is going away unless I get any symptoms!

Sounds like a plan 👍

Sounds positive. Best advice is take the Kardia to your shed , lock it in and loose the key.

You’re right Bob, for the next week or two I’m going to limit myself to twice a day then put it away! Bit like weaning off medication!

All sounding really good for you and great to hear that you're able to walk 5 miles each day. Long may you stay well. Please report back again at a later date. It gives us such a lift to hear such positive news.

Thanks Jean. Just got my follow up appointment letter through, next month, so only a month late and by telephone. Given the current situation I’d say that’s pretty good, excellent service!

You are much braver than me. I started to walk for 45 minutes after seven months. Not interested in coaxing AF at all! I would also hide that Kardia device. In the interim you can test yourself by placing your index finger against the side of your throat to feel the pulse. If it's steady, you're in NSR. If it's thready, you have AF. I still use my finger and it's been thirteen months since my ablation.
