After heart attack have tried 3 different beta blockers, Bisoprolol atenonolol and nebivinol. Feeling awful, my GP has said stop taking tablets and has given me Adizem. Read reviews doesn't sound good. Does anyone take them, they aren't meant for heart attack prevention. Think this is my last chance. Would you recommend just taking a chance and not take any beta blocker, was a mild heart attack. Thanks.

Help just need to feel normal
No drugs are really for preventing heart attack. Most are given to reduce risk factors such as high blood pressure. Adizem is diltiezem which is a calcium channel blocker and works in a different way but should still help your heart. Doesn't suit everybody but what does. One pressumes that you have dealt with all life style changes needed?
Thanks Bob, If it was only my heart i would be ok, but i have blood problems bladder bowel. Don't know what are side effects as am always in pain. Had a fall last week so battered and bruised. Waiting for GP to ring again. Will i ever feel normal.
Your doctor is trying a different approach, which might be just right for you. You'll never know if you don't try. All the drugs we are offered look scary when one reads the packet! - but they all work for some people. You have to find the ones that work for you.
