Robotic Maze

Hi, all. It's been awhile since I posted anything, but I do read a lot of others' posts and have learned a lot. My question is related to a robotic maze procedure for which I'm scheduled next week. Although I'm not particularly anxious and hopefully this will finally do the trick after all else (meds, ablations, cardioversions) have failed, I would like to hear from people who have had this done regarding their post-surgical experience. The hospital staff are being helpful, but it seems like their information is worst case scenario, so that my experience will seem like a piece of cake. Curious to hear your outcomes and experiences after this procedure. Thanks!

I haven't had this procedure so I'm afraid I can't help, but I am sure someone will be along soon who can.

I am not sure it is that common a procedure, especially here in the UK. I do remember a few posts many moons ago when it was called a Cox Maze - robots not involved. I do, however, think it may be making a return as it was mentioned as a possible treatment for my husband.

Thanks for your input. I'll let you know how it goes, in case your husband decides to have it done some day. It's kind of a last resort. My thoracic surgeon has supposedly done hundreds with much success. We'll see!
