Hi mrtee,

I had an ablation at Papworth last November. Excellent facilities and care before, during and after my procedure. Telephone contact with the Arrhythmia Nurses before and after was both easy and helpful. I have no knowledge of Dr. Heck, but feel that whoever you see there will be highly skilled, as it is one of the UK's leading centres for Electrophysiology.

The only criticism I would make is that at my pre-op appointment I and six other patients had waiting times of up to an hour between each element of the pre-op, and in total I was there for 3.5 hours- most of which was waiting time. I had been told it would take 1.5 hours altogether- luckily the parking ticket machines were out of order so parking was free!
