Lupron lump

Got a small lump on my right hip after my last 6mo. lupron shot. Never noticed one before. Its been 10 days and still there. Is this unusual?

Injection was in belly. Yes, to lump and soreness and redness. Early on, it itched a bit as well. Kinda like a bug bite. Good luck with it. IMRT and brachyboost were uneventful. Lupron? Ugh. Hope your experience is better than mine was.

Lupron or Eligard? Sometimes clinics substitute, and Eligard can leave a bad blister at injection site.

The nurse should have told you about the lump. It’s a type of epoxy that slowly dissolves as it releases the leuprolide.

Lump is normal. 👍 The lump is the medicine that will be absorbed slowly into your system.

I have had many many Lupron injections on my left butt cheek but no lumps. I'm still looking for a lump a little lower (south) and around to the right (east).....

I’ve just discovered that I was switched from Lipton to Elgard for my last two shots. Explains a lot.

I had my last Lupron shot about 3 years ago - and intermittently I get a sharp pain right where one of my Lupron shots was given in my right butt cheek. Not a surprise - I suspect not all of the carrier medium dissolved.
