Great news! I had a discussion with a family doctor and she assures me that she can cure prostate cancer - provided I follow her medical procedures! She couldn’t give me any details when I asked for things like the rates of cure etc - not survival rates - actual verified cure rates. She tried to look it up but couldn’t find it at the time. Probably a google search. Who knows.
So, as soon as she gets back to me with what we all need to do, I’ll update you all.
Unbelievable, but true. You couldn’t make this stuff up.

Well…..we will wait with baited breath. She is the first on Earth to cure PCa. 🤔. But, I keep an open mind. No stone unturned. In the mean time, watch your wallet. Seriously. Look forward to her/your response.
I’m not going to say. I think that would be unfair on a public forum- being one side of the discussion. There’s a few doctors at her practice so I’ll just request them instead next time.. I’m not out to prove anyone wrong, but that doesn’t mean I won’t challenge something like that. Hopefully she does some research out of it. She slammed the phone down at the end so she was a little upset. She actually told me that this is what she’d been taught. That’s quite scary when you think about it.
I can remove it if people want to. But Im sure what nonsense you think I’m ‘spreading’. I was actually highlighting the fact that the advice that you are given can be inaccurate and you should never just take someone on face value - even a doctor. I thought this was obvious. Maybe not though I guess.
There is so much wrong with this. Covid was the prime example when what we know now and have plenty of studies about today and more coming out each day was considered by these "experts" as not valid. It was about politics under guise of medicine. Always will be that way.
Look, if one can fix Covid with a mixture of a malaria prophylactic and a horse dewormer, all washed down with a swig of bleach, then anything is possible
Did you ask for her plan for your cure?I would have loved to know what it was just to see where she is coming from.
Ok know I’ll try to play advocate.
Maybe she was trying to ease your worries and get you on the SOC. I know when I first got diagnosed 3+3 from 1% of two cores the doctors told me not to worry you’ll probably die of something else.
Watchful waiting to active surveillance to RP to EBRT to first lupron shot today
9 years later.
So I would question that whole practice, but also due diligence is called for now
I’m taking this as the Doctor believes in a cure for your case specifically ! That’s good . Stay positive .
MrG68, Seriously. No stone unturned. What if her Mentor was having success w old school pharma, long since buried, and passed this info on to her??No one here knows where a cure will come from as there are no cures for Advanced Stage 4 Metastatic PCa……yet. So listen (what do you have to lose), but verify, and keep your wallet closed as we are all passionate about the same subject. Please keep us posted. Thanks, Mike
I can appreciate the humor/amusement in this post and at the same time I guess you covered the bases of the poster himself who when it comes to his prostate cancer we know nothing.
So knowing nothing about the posters diagnosis and only knowing his Dr. mentioned cure we are left to comment as you did.
I can only speculate that since the poster found astonishment in the Dr.'s comment his PC has probably spread beyond the prostate.
The advice to think positively during tough times may seem cliché, but there is significant research showing that positive thinking brings positive change to any situation. Forever optimistic. I’m ready for a cure.
When I asked my RO if he was sure my upcoming RT would cure my PCa, he said, "If I said yes, all I would be really saying is that you need to find another doctor."
It’s sad that some people get their jollies out of raising false hopes in the seriously ill. There are men and women of incredible knowledge and perseverance who work tirelessly to cure this terrible beast that is literally killing many of us. It’s a slap in their face when a bunch of bovine caca takes center stage. I’ll stick with my MO. He might not know it all, but he’s definitely not a BS artist masquerading as a doctor.
Sounds like the family doctor who told me 30 years ago that I was in danger of developing heart disease because my ankles weren't very hairy. They still aren't very hairy, especially after ADT (hairless now), but I have yet to experience any heart problems. BTW, that was the last time I scheduled her. 😆
If you have been diagnosed with cancer, the very best thing you can do for yourself is to find a Major Cancer Center and one of Excellence!!! Get to the BEST medical care and team you can access. Travel if you must, but don't skimp! It is there you'll find the best in diagnosis, treatment, care, access to cutting edge trials and more! Local doctors and facilities, no offense, can't complete! Repetition is the mother of skill, and in cancer treatment, skill wins! Doctors who treat or perform hundreds, cannot compare with those who handle 10x that... Just sayin, lol.
