I have been on Lynparza since June. PSA started at 16.4 and has varied between 15 and 17.5 for the 5 months I have been on it. Alt Phos has dropped from 121 to 74. LDH from 230 to 189. Just had a scan and it showed no progression even tho I have been in a little more pain recently. My oncologist says stable is good. And as long as scans are good and numbers stay steady we will keep riding this horse. I'm curious as to others experience with Parb Inhibitors and what you think of the doc's comments.

Parb Inhibitors Experience
I have no experience with the PARP inhibitors. I think they will be in my future sooner than later. I am assuming you have BRCA 2
Dropped Xtandi and started Lymparza on 9/15/21. PSA at 23.2 and climbing. On 10/15/21 PSA dropped to 18.5.
Met with MO. We are encouraged by Lymparza results and hope next PSA in Nov will be lower. Wait and see.
This may be my last bullitt?
Extreme fatigue.

I am in the MAGNITUDE trial of niraparib combined with abiraterone/prednisone. I am about 9 months in and its difficult to know which is effective, but PSA down from 25 to 1-2 and it seems to be settling about there. Regular scans have shown no progression but not much inhibition either. My doc agrees - ride it until failure on radiological evidence.
Thanks for the report. I am on this BRCA2 train. Diag 2019
Also BRCA2+. Was on Olaparib for almost 2 years, which kept my PSA undetectable until it ran its course.
What was your next step?
That is a great question. After Olaparib ran its course I have been researching what next viable steps I should pursue. I found nothing specific. There just doesn't appear to be much of anything out there. It's either back to a SOC treatment or a clinical trial. I am now 12 weeks in to a clinical trial combining 3 meds - Actinium223 + Keytruda + Xtandi. See my previous posts about this.
Hopefully the doctor meant riding a horse on a merry-go-round....
Good Luck, Good Health and Good Humor.
