CBD vs Ambian

I have been having serious trouble sleeping so I got a prescription for Ambian but it seems I don't need it. I have been taking a fair amount of CBD tincture made from 20 to 1 CBD/THC cannabis I got a great deal on. I have slept better the last three days than in a month or more.

I don't think the commercial crap is any good. My hubby bought some that was specifically for sleep, it has all sorts of good stuff in it but in tiny quantities and it did nothing. So if you want to try CBD vet your source. Mine is organic and tested as concentrate made from it which supports the 20 to 1 ratio. THC will keep you awake so avoid that. I am fortunate to live in the "Emerald Triangle" so it is easy to get pot, I even have three plants going myself which is totally legal, no high CBD but should plant one next year. I got my herbs from a wonderful woman who grows organic produce that is unbeatable and make the best cider both soft and hard. She also make the best pesto I have ever tasted.

I was wondering whey I spent $1500 on three pounds of pot that doesn't get you high a year or so ago but now I know.

Also my PSA is down to 4.5 after hovering at 12 or so after starting ADT. We need to figure out a way to celebrate.

Ambien is a great drug for sleep but it is habit forming. I took it for year’s. It is very effective but you can build a tolerance and can’t sleep without it. I have a love -hate relationship with Ambien. I don’t take it anymore.

I think CBD is largely bullshit. Who knows - it’s hard to evaluate. What I can tell you is there are some THC products that are designed to help with sleep that are effective. The edibles are dose measured which of course is very important. Indica strain is best for sleep. Typical dosage is 10 mg. Take about 30-60 min before bed.

If you snore you can also do a sleep study and possibly a CPAP could help with snoring or apnea. I did that and boy I sleep great with a CPAP.

Stay strong!!

no problem with sleep apnea, hubby has that so i know exactly what it is. I have very high quality CBD and THC that I have made. I just made a batch of CBD which is made from 20 to 1 analyzed pot. I made a tincture and it helped with sleep but the oil i just made (to avoid alcohol) did nothing last night but i think i took about 1/4 th what is needed. THC seems to keep me awake especially the Sour Diesel I made. I might try it but it is 60mmg per drop so easy to OD. I will try more CBD tonight. Yes most CBD is total bullshit made from hemp. The commercial stuff I tried did absolutely nothing but the tincture I made did work really well. I just need to find the right dose of the new oil. I have literally pounds of high THC resinfrom which i can make oil for eating so it would be great if that helped with sleep but my experience is that it keeps me more awake but tha is before advanced PC and ADT so who know, can certainly try after i get some sleep and will not be a problem staying awake all night thinking.

If it wakes you up it is probably from the Sativa line and not the Indica line. Indica = in da couch (puts you down)
