Pain flares are common right after chemo because the metastases are inflamed. I hope you took prednisone with docetaxel.

Pain flares are common. They usually get better in a couple of weeks.

8 is where I should have stopped. 9 gave me more and lasting neuropathy in hands and feet. Best of luck to you, Bone pain should fade. See Canoeheads post below.

Are you taking neulasta with the chemo? If so, it is often the source of flu-like bone/joint pain. Claritin helps that immensely

I have some bone mets that are painful, not very painful but enough to keep me awake at night and to make me miserable during the day. It does not take a lot of constant nagging pain to really mess up your body.

I tried Tramedol and it worked for three days. Now I am taking oxycodome 5 mg two or three times a day. I never wanted to take this type of drug but it really does work for me. No idea how if affects pain from chemo.

I believe this is quite common I also had back pain as a result of Docataxal

Exercise helped me tremendously .

Loads of light stretching

Riding or walking whatever physical activity you can do do it

Whatever you do

Stay active

It will subside

Had 10 treatments all w/prednisone and had pain flares after each treatment. Some were worse than others but all receded after a day or two or three. No fun but they were limited term, thank goodness. Movement of any kind -- exercise if you can manage it -- does help. For me it was swimming. Unfortunately neuropathy was part of the package as well. Make sure to tell your MO as soon as you feel it.
