Hello Good people

Today friday i was in the hospital,to make UltraSound to take Biopsy from my kidney ,the DR. was searching with ultrasound to find the changable in my kidney in 20 minutes without any results, the size of the suspicious tissue which is 1cm ,they couldn't localize it because it was too smal and difficult to see it.But they said will check up later with Datatomography if it grows in size.

Is there any solution for that.

Thnx

George

I have a 1.4 cm lesion in my kidney. I decided not to have a biopsy because it would not affect my treatment decision. I just get a CT every 6 months to see if it is growing.

Allen,

When I lost my kidney seven years ago the cyst (which they assumed was malignant) was 3.5 cm and I was told that if over 4 cm my chances of survival were slim.

I was also told that 4 cm was the decision point. According to everything I've read, cancer-specific survival is 100% as long as the lesion is under 4 cm.

I have a 1 cm lesion in one of the kidneys diagnosed 5 years ago. It was considered a renal carcinoma. They were following it with CT scans every 1 year, It never increased in size. Two years ago it bled inside and the diagnosis changed from possible kidney cancer to benign cyst.

Following your kidney lesion with CT scans , I believe is the SOC. Kidney cancer is considered Stage I until a localized tumor reaches 7 cm. If a localized tumor is treated when is less than 4 cm, the survival rate is 90-95% at 5 years.

I was told 4 cm is the point at which survival chances start decreasing substantially.

Yes , they should be treated before reaching 4 cm.

I have a notion that many people have cysts in their kidneys.... and they just chill out there and fade away when you fade away.....No problem!!!
