Is being castrate resistant treatable? If so what drugs do they usually use for treatment? Can some share your story about being castrate resistant. My husbands psa is double each month the Dr is going to try Zytiga along with the Lupron which really is working by itself.

Does zytiga always work for castrate resistant men? It didnt work for my dad right at the start. Same with enzalutamide. Now has completed some chemo cycles. Would zytiga or enzalutamide work now?
It is approved for castration-resistant men. You can try to re-challenge with Zytiga or Xtandi after chemo.
Many of us on the forum are castrate resistant. Guys can go quite a long time on Zytiga or Xtandi after becoming castrate resistant. When my PSA went up to 26, I started on Zytiga and 2 years later my PSA is undetectable. Eventually that will become ineffective and then generally the best treatment is chemotherapy.
I should clarify, can you give a length of time that Zytiga can be effective for? Reference what you mentioned about Zytiga or Xtandi being effective for quite a long time.
The median progression-free survival is around 15 months. There's more information here on the prescribing sheet where you can read the clinical trial data.
