Lu-177 and Actinium 225

Has anyone had success getting into a trial of Lu-177 or actinium 225 in the USA since COVID? We are trying so hard to get my dad into one and either don’t get a call back or they are on hold:(. Anyone went to Germany. I don’t even know how we would start that process. My dad is 64, diagnosed at 54 and done almost every treatment imaginable. We feel like this is our last hope.

Thank you for the reply. He did have genetic and germline testing done and nothing came back so he wouldn’t be a good candidate for those type of drugs unfortunately.

Here's a list of all the open trials in the US:

Have you looked into any of the BiTE or CAR-T trials? There's a list at the bottom of this article:

Do you already know that his cancer is completely PSMA avid? Has he had biopsy tissue stained for PSMA or had any PSMA imaging?

Hi TA, The issue im having is that some of these trials are open and I've called, emailed etc. I talk to someone then they say they will get back to me and then they never do and I feel like Im going around and around. So frustrating as I know these trials only recruit a small amount of men. Ill check out the Car-T trials. He hasn't had the PSMA test yet. We live in MO and its not here but they would do the scan if he got into a trial.

I imagine there are long waiting lists for those trials. He doesn't necessarily need imaging for PSMA. A biopsy can reveal if the cancer expresses it.

You could get an Ac225 and Lu177 treatment here:

If you look at my entries regarding this you will see a step by step guide to obtaining the considered treatment at University Hospital, Heidelberg, Germany.

How did you do on this treatment? Are you still on it? Im not sure my dad will go to Germany or not. Would love to find something in the USA if I can but getting frustrated.

I am not aware of a clinical trial using Ac225. If you find one, you may be randomized to the control group and get no PSMA therapy at all.

My reports detail only having had one session : to help you they detail how to go about getting it if you decide on that route.

Others are better advised on here than I otherwise.

Best regards Michael

My husband started an Actinium-225 clinical trial last Friday in Omaha. We felt it was his last hope as well. Praying for a miracle. Here’s the info: ClinicalTrials.gov Identifier: NCT04644770

Please keep me updated on this! My dad is going to try the one in New york. Omaha told him he couldn't have had radium which he has but New York says its ok with their protocol.
