Paying for Zytiga in South Carolina

I'm considering moving to South Carolina and I would like to know if anyone might know if there are any supplimental drug programs that might cover drugs like Zytiga in that state.

I live in NY and I now have a program called EPIC( Elderly Pharmaceutical Insurance Coverage Program). After paying a deductible my costs are greatly

reduced for the remainder of the year.

I’m curious, how much do you pay for zytiga in NY? It appears EPIC is an awesome plan.

Hi 3putt ---You are right. I now have(EPIC PLAN) to pay a deductable based on my income in NY. This year my total deductible was $2300.00 and, then my monthly payments for the rest of the year is $20.00/mo. I'm now trying to find out what SC offers. I am retired and now on medicare/ plus BC/BS advantage plan in NY. I'm trying to get a BC/BS PPO plan in SC in which I can get my Zytiga through Duke Pharmacy. I'M not moving until I know what that cost would be.

I assume you are on Medicare too if so start an email link with Fund Finder they direct you to open grants to assist in drug costs. They have been a Godsend to me.

I have Aetna Avantage plan, Medicare, and grants from PAN

I pay nothing after all is accounted for. Truly blessed for my Doctor and his staff they took care of everything for me.

I live in SC. Assuming you’re on Original Medicare you of course need to get Plan D (prescription) coverage. My plan D ( Silverscript with CVS Caremark ) would cost me $703 per month for 60 500 mg pills ( two daily) which is 6% of the actual cost.

You need to shop around for the best plan for you.

and possibly going to a Dr. at Duke, then getting my Zytiga through them??--Speciality Pharmacy

Sometime Hospitals medicine is more expensive we have United healthcare plan F and part D

May I ask what assistance you receive. What is plan F?

Supposedly, Duke has copay-assistance. Once I get an appointment with Dr. at Duke I will

find out what I would qualify for

I have Mutual of Omaha plan G for part B supplement. As I said, Part D is through Siverscript .

AARP UnitedHealth careSupplement in plan F.

We have paid nothing for MRIs and scans doctor visits any shots done in the doctors office now the prescription plan is plan D

We passed the gap about of 5,200

But that’s the same plan for everyone lucky for Pan foundation money cover that 5,200

Call Johnson & Johnson direct 1-800-652-6227. It was a very easy process for me and we receive Zytiga for free.

I guess they base it on income tax filings. They asked for lines 7, 5a and 5b. We also have Part D which might have been a factor. J & J has been a very nice company to work with.

Go on Fund finder look at which one you Qualify for based on your gross income

If none are accepting set up your phone to alarm you when a grant opens and call right away. We have pan and they have been a blessing

panfoundation.org/index.php... paid for my Xtandi for a few months, and was arranged through my Urology of Virginia doctor and his staff. When that ran out, the VA picked up the full cost. The Veterans Admin sends me Xtandi by mail, refillable online through myhealth.va.gov/mhv-portal-...

Bentot, if I might ask, I'm also a veteran and receive compensation due to my time in Vet Nam. Do you qualify for meds by the same tedious process in order to receive compensation?

Being a vet you should get your med free or at very low cost

As I recall, when I visited my VA Primary Care Physician, he honored the prescription from my civilian oncologist. I also understood that I could have sent my PCP the prescription and copy the VA pharmacy.

Ben, great information, thanks alot, I contacted the VA yesterday. I found out that I'm considered a Priority Group 1. I've got and appointment to talk to Dr. and a pharmacist.
