Pardon it this offends anyone but this is the devotional I wrote for Bible study earlier today: Read 1 Corinthians 12:31-13:13 "If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love...I gain nothing. Love is... Love never fails... And these remain...

Father, here your evangelist-poet Paul writes some of the most encouraging words expressed in human history... Christ is the expression of love on and beyond the cross. We are here reminded of the words of Jesus when he said, My disciples will be know by their love for each other.

My sisters and brothers-in-Christ read again aloud this scripture for today...

Love is what you give, not necessarily what you always get, except from God.

Ask yourself, do you harbor grudges or do you by the Holy Spirit reflect the love Paul writes and Jesus commands?

I am not religious in any traditional sense but I do believe that much to be learned from Jesus. The words you have chosen are ones to keep posted on our walls to remind us of what life should be about.
