I participated in three other online prostate cancer support groups before Darryl got this one started at healthunlocked.com. Of the four groups, this one is by far the most active and has drawn some really excellent contributors including people with serious expertise in the science and/or in the problems of daily living for patients and families dealing with cancer. I've learned a lot here.
I want to thank Darryl for starting this and other groups and keeping them going, and thank everyone for participating and spending some, and sometimes a lot, of their time helping others. Over the years of participating in this and other groups I have learned a great deal, not only about prostate cancer, but also about how people can help and support each other. I've learned from men who help others in spite of their own suffering, and from women supporting lucky husbands and fathers who benefit from that support.
I've seen Darryl's calls for financial help for Malecare, the organization he founded that makes all of this possible. I want to support him and urge everyone else to contribute what they can.
