It's been a while since we've posted here, but I'd like to update this forum of hubby's progress. So far he's in great spirit and doing good and even managed to work from home thanks to a supporting employer which has made a huge difference given the amount of time my husband has to use the restroom.
Speaking of that, urinary frequency has greatly reduced. He used to go on average 5 times each hour, and now may go several hours without using the restroom which is a huge relief! There's almost no more painful burning urination which at first was a MAJOR issue for the first 40 days or so. When it comes to his urinary flow; well that's a work in progress. The stream is weak but at time strong! It is definitely irregular. One thing we did observe is that when he juices, his urinary flow is better, he has better bladder control and goes less to the restroom. What he eats DEFINITELY affects his plumbery (I can vouch for that!). Fruits, light meals, low carbohydrate diet seem to really make a difference.
Attitude is also everything smelling the roses, laughing (very important!) hubby is a natural born joker and we've found that being upbeat really boosts the moral and is a powerful cure! Spending times outdoor helps as well. We've taken a very holist approach by integrating yoga, spirituality and I may also introduce him to Reiki energy healing and other eastern modalities.
As far as ED, nothing has been impacted meaning he's able to have solid erections (sorry for being so graphic!).
He's currently being followed by his urologist and I think his first post brachy PSA test is scheduled sometime in October. Fingers crossed, there will be a sharp drop!
As a reminder hubby was diagnosed in Dec 2018 with intermediary PC (well contained within the capsule), Gleason 3+4 PSA hovering between 6 and 7.
